New Hope

Well it's that time a year again when both football and basketball seasons are over and the little 5 is right around the corner. Unfortunately this year was harder to take than previous, including the Davis and Dinardo years. But like the title, there is a much anticipated hope for next year in both football and basketball. The football team will be using the pistol offense this year, finally some kind of gimmick that might work. Let's face it, when you recruit 2 and 3 star athletes you have to use some sort of gimmick to stand tall against OSU and UM. With Lewis moved to WR and Chappel taking over the QB situation maybe now there will be some leadership. I went out on a limb last year and said 8 or 9 wins was possible. Obviously I was drinking the crimson ale. This coming season I think 5 or 6 wins is realistic. Both OSU and UM are back on the schedule but these teams are young and one game will be played at home. Virginia is a road game but I think this is a winnable game. First three games will hopefully all be wins albeit the Western Michigan game concerns me. That leaves 3 wins left to reach the bowl and I think this team can do it. As for basketball, well we have the right coach, FINALLY! I personally think Coach Crean can make the dead get up and cheer for the hoosiers, that's how passionate he is. So spring is here and optimism is in the air. GO HOOSIERS!!!
