Would be a good choice....young,, Crean's Brother in Law, Midwestern roots, NFL QB, brother head coach of Baltimore Ravens with Cam as his OC, fairly successful last year at Stanford, which is another school that is a tough football sell.

Mardy,
while I think Harbaugh would be the ideal coach for our program for so many reasons, I see no way IU could pull him here from Palo Alto where he went to high school while his Dad was defensive coordinator for Stanford. He is in the 2nd of a 5 year contract and Stanford is currently trying to extend Harbaugh's contract since the Raiders are trying to sign Jim as their next head coach--> http://www.mercurynews.com/sports/ci_10900864

I wonder if IU could even afford to fire Lynch after his 1st season. If they can buy him out then can IU afford to hire the caliber of coach we would want? We may just be stuck with him next year I feel, but hope am wrong about.

it was just a thought, something i think would work. But not very realistic

All I know is Lloyd Carr was on the market last year & Phil Fulmer is looking for work this year. I don't see either of them as a long-term deal, but a couple of years with proven winners like these would do wonders for IU's credibility (with fans and recruits). You can guarantee neither would allow IU's current culture to remain as is.

Add Tommy Tuberville to that list of seasoned vets.
