does anyone know what the short-term and long-term plans are for the South end zone at Memorial Stadium? Are they going to remove those bleachers? If so, are they just leaving that area as a "parking lot," at least for now?
From what I recall of the plans for Memorial Stadium, the South bleachers will be removed and that space will be renovated to make it more of a pleasing area, visually. I'm going to check through my materials and maybe make a call or two to research it more and then I'll get back to you.

thanks, Chris; I remember the original (HOK) renderings showed an empty-but-landscaped area, apparently with no seating--unless it's berm seating like they have at Virginia and Wake Forest.
Speaking of the renovations and the other Capital Campaign related building projects, it appears that we're still about $50 mil. short of the necessary contributions listed on their web page. Seeing as we're now in the midst of a financial armageddon, what happens if the donations dry up and our list of contributors shrinks faster than IU's defensive secondary depth chart? Any chance will have to postpone the baseball and softball projects? Will athletics go back into the red to pay for the projects? Will those costs be absorbed by the University and not athletics? Either way, it seems the next AD had better be one helluva an accountant and a salesman.
